and former District Emergency Coordinator of New York City ARES

October 1, 2012

Dear friends,

American Radio Relay League (ARRL) voting will be taking place in New York for the Hudson Division Director Office term 2013-2015. Balloting runs October 1 - November 16, 2012.

Since taking over for Mr. Fallon (who stepped down) as Division Director, Ms. Joyce Birmingham has been doing a good job representing the interests of all hams in the area and fostering an environment of cooperation. This has been shown in our positive relationship with various groups and ARRL appointees in the area, especially NNJ and ENY sections.

Because of this, I support and endorse for reelection, the current Hudson Division Director, Ms. Joyce Birmingham (KA2ANF).

The Hudson Division encompasses the ENY, NNJ and NLI section which NYC is part of. The Hudson Division Director is one of 15 voting members of the ARRL board who set policies which can impact your ability to enjoy the different aspects of the amateur radio service as they lobby politicians and the FCC to make changes to laws and regulations.

I can not tell you who to vote for, but I will be voting for Ms. Birmingham to give her a chance to continue her good work for the Hudson Division.

Sincerly,

/Charles Hargrove/
