[Check-in procedures]

"Each station will be called once".  Call ONCE then wait for all repeater carriers to DROP.

If no response, move on!  Don't do late NYC-ARECS check-ins for each Boro list.

[Net Control Station Script]

This is the New York City Amateur Radio Emergency Communications Service Net, which is conducted on the N2ROW linked repeater system, and meets Monday nights at 8:30 PM local time.  The purpose of this weekly Net is to call together the members of New York City ARECS, for disseminating information regarding emergency communications, preparedness, and related topics of interest.  This is a directed net, and all communications must go through the Net Control Station at all times.  Tonight your Net Control Station is _______ (your call, name and location).  Is there someone willing to act as an Alternate Net Control should this station go off the air?

[Check-ins]

At this time I will take check-ins for the Net in the following manner:  Net Control will conduct a "Roll Call" by Boro of all the New and Active New York City ARECS members on the current roster.  Each station will be called ONCE and the repeaters output carriers allowed to drop.  If there is no response, Net Control will move on to the next station.  Please respond ONLY with your call sign, OR your call sign and the word TRAFFIC, if you have traffic for the Net.  When you are acknowledged, Net Control will respond with the PROWORD "Roger".  Any Late Check-Ins or non-NYC-ARECS stations that wish to join this net will be checked in after the Boros by an open call-up.  Please give my callsign, drop your carrier to see that you are not doubling with anyone, and then proceed to give your call sign with name and location.  We also have facilities via EchoLink by contacting __________  [usually NB2A-R]. Check-ins for EchoLink will be held separately after the Boros and before the open call-up.

We will now begin call up for tonight's New York City ARECS Net.
